APPLICATIONS
APOLLON-Diamond constant potential current limiting chargers are designed for : -

•  Automatic float charging of batteries unattended to provide high security DC Power System

•  Charging of battery and simultaneously supplying continuous DC load

•  Switch tripping/closing duties for short period, high peak discharge current

The equipment is widely used in telecommunication, instrumentations, power stations, emergency power and lighting, Petro-Chemical and power engineering industries for on-shore and off-shore applications.

 

 

CIRCUIT DESCRIPTION

The APOLLON-Diamond Constant Potential Current Limiting Charger is completely solid state using thyristors to control output voltage and current.  A special wound transformer is used to supply the required A.C voltage to the thyristor bridge and a low voltage for control board.  The thyristors are triggered by controller which will automatically adjusts the condition angle to suit the output requirement.  The thyristor is network and against polarity reversal by a diode and high speed fuse.  Voltage feedback is used to maintain the regulation and current feedback to provide current limit.
